Traditional Chinese medicine
In order to strengthen and optimise overall health, our Chinese doctor will personally discuss with you your specific areas of concern. A treatment programme will be prescribed for you, which may include the following elements.
Tui na is a Chinese pressure meridian acupressure massage, which uses a variety of massage techniques that operate through acupressure points connected to the energy channels of the body. The aim of this massage is to harmonise the energy flows in all systems of the body and blood circulation in all treatment organs.
An ancient form of therapeutic massage, cupping benefits the body by moving stagnant Qi and invigorating the system. Glass light-bulb-shaped jars are fixed on various points on the body, using the heat of a flame to create a vacuum. Cups are then moved along specific areas of the body to create friction. The suction and negative pressure provided by cupping can loosen muscles, encourage blood flow and sedate the nervous system.
A warm herbal stick is applied to heat various acupressure points of the body, resulting in the primary benefits of dispelling cold, promoting circulation and activating certain points in the body. The sequence of acupressure points
is determined by your private consultation with our TCM Doctor.
